About Musication Camp

Exploring Music

Each week of Musication Camp explores a different theme. This past summer our themes were “Music From Around Around the World” and “Discovering Different Music Styles”.

For “Music From Around The World” we explored the sounds and instruments from a new country each day like China, Brazil and Mexico. During “Discovering Different Music Styles” week, we featured a different artist each day as we explored their particular style of music like reggae for Bob Marley and Jazz for Charlie Parker.

Making Music Fun

Each day children explore the theme of the week through:
  • singing
  • instrument playing
  • live concerts
  • drum circles
  • instrument craft making
  • movement/dancing
  • playing and exploring sound in beautiful Prospect Park

Bringing the Music Home

Parents receive daily emails detailing what the kids did each day along with short video clips and photos so you can continue the musical conversation around the dinner table.

Additionally, each child receives a cd at the end of the week containing all of the songs they learned and concerts they listened to during the week so your whole family can enjoy the music of Musication Camp!

Testimonials

“We loved how our child come back from camp everyday filled with a head and heart filled with music – singing the multicultural bye bye song (our fave) and turning almost everything in the house into a musical instrument!” – Brooklyn Parent

“Our 4 year daughter absolutely loved Musication camp. Months later she still sings the songs and talks about the “percussion, brass and woodwind families” of instruments that she learned about. Jeremy and all of the teachers were fantastic with her, making her feel comfortable and happy at camp” -Parent
