Teacher Spotlight: Rosina Bullen
Hi, I’m Rosina — one of the teachers at Musication and a singer-songwriter based here in New York. I write and perform indie folk/rock music around the city, while also sharing my love of music through teaching piano, voice, and songwriting.
One of my specialties is teaching songwriting. I’ve had the joy of helping many of my students write their very first songs, and it’s always incredible to see the excitement this brings them — and the pride they feel in creating something of their own. Songwriting gives students a way to express their creativity and look at music in a completely new way. Watching them realize that they can write their own music is one of the highlights of my teaching, and I’m always impressed by their imagination and originality.
Whether it’s seeing a beginner light up when they play their first tune or guiding a more advanced student to develop their voice as a songwriter, I love being part of their journey.
